about angry viking press

Angry Viking Press… the large, agitated, adrenaline juiced beast that sets sail to new lands and spreads across the country side invading homes with its presence. Making known to the world that the obscure and misperceived will not be ignored or silenced, that Angry Viking Press will showcase the best from alternative minded people in a world full of mediocrity put forth by other organizations because of there lack of insight and depth.

Angry Viking Press is a new, independent publisher of high-quality, stylistic and unique comics and Trade Paper Backs designed by consummate artists from the USA and Japan. Possessing craftsmanship and essence of the trend-setting Mangaformat, AVP has evolved into a sought-after establishment within the Internet and convention fan-base. Angry Viking Press desires to showcase and market the creative talents of our artists while becoming self sufficient at the same time...

One of the major trends has been the growth of independent comic publishers. Historically independents to the big two, Marvel and DC, have existed for decades. However, the popularity of independents such as Image and Dark Horse Comics, has been the highest now than at any other time in the comic book industry history. Angry Viking Press already has a presence on the net via comments and postings by our artists on their personal websites and also through the creators own web galleries on Deviant art website. Also, alliances with friends within the industry help us network and recruit new talented artists.

The staff of Angry Viking Press has a clear vision of the quality of printed material we wish to publish and have an equally dedicated group of artists that want to let their creative muses flourish. Our production schedule is tailored to release our publications at a rate accommodating of the artists and consumer needs. Angry Viking Press has the ability to grow into a influential force on the comic book market. If you have any questions, or comments feel free to contact us at angryvikingpress@yahoo.com. If you would like to contact a particular member of our team, feel free to address that person directly through their biography section below...

canty

Jason Canty graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 2002 and has since managed and scouted talent for 2 Independent comic companies for the past 7 years. He also has direct contact with established artists known to the industry since the mid 1990’s. After a few failed attempts to get friends published through other comic companies, he decided to make good on his promise to start his own comic company if he couldn’t get them published by anyone else. So in the Fall of 2006, Coupled with CFO Brendan Baranek Olmstead, COO Jerrold Farrington, and Editor in Chief Jason Farrington, AVP enjoys a diverse staff and artists that offer numerous years of experience with the comic book industry as enthusiasts and later as artists/managers of talent.

Likes to brag that he worked at Atari inc for two months in 2003, one of the games was NeverWinter Nights: Hords of the Underdark. He currently works as a nutrition science educator, corrupting the youth of America by teaching them how to be healthy much to the dismay of our fast food overlords. He can be often seen playing with Transformers in the background making “pew pew” and transformation sounds when hes not geeking out over the latest science news. Hes a nerd.

Meet Jerrold and Jason, a set of twins conjoined at the head. Like most conjoined twins, they share bone, veins and arteries, and in this sense, they share a brain. But their mother believes that because they share a thalamus, each can actually see and feel what the other is doing.
